So I was finally able to finish up the little one’s bike.

We had a ride behind bike we put each of our children on it once. My daughter screamed the entire ride around the block.

Our youngest absolutely loves it. She will ride on it all day and still want to go again.
Our older girls went straight to their own bikes, so they never had something like this.

I really wanted to get one for longer rides. We ended up settling for a trailer. The only time we ever had an issue was when we stopped at a park. She didn’t want to leave and screamed all the way home. That was the last time I stopped at a park mid-ride.

We had a trailer prior, it was fine for riding around town, but terrible for longer rides. This is much easier until she gets her own bike.

The ride-behinds weren’t popular when my kids were the right age for them, so they were priced higher than we could justify.

That’s great and it looks fantastic.

Sharp!
We spent the last year using the trailer but my little guy outgrew it quickly and no longer has any interest in trailer rides. Picked up a 20" Ride-a-long for $40 just as the pandemic was kicking off but have yet to put him on it, largely because I haven’t thrown my ham hock over the cx saddle this year.
A l so got him a 14" Hotrock as an upgrade from the strider.
He’ll be 3 in 2 months.

They’re still expensive to buy new. Thankfully I found this one at a Trek rep’s garage sale. It was in great shape and had been taken great care of, he just wanted it gone as his kids were older now. Gave him $20 for it, complete with original owner’s manual.

B een there. Trying to get them back into the trailer after stopping at p laygrounds and the waterparks always resulted in hysterics.

That’s a hell of a NP. I bought one for the same price, but mine needed a new rear tire, I had to replace the hardware on the seat post clamp, and it was missing a grip. Thankfully I had a buddy tossing a trashed kid’s bike with a good tire in the right size.
I just posted it for sale so hopefully I can get my $20 back.

This one needed nothing.
The color left something to be desired behind my bike, otherwise it was excellent mechanically, so I painted it a more fitting color.

And yours is the more expensive option too. Mine is a mongoose.

If Vikings Purple was a safer choice. I’m increasingly curious what color it started out as?

It was plain metallic red, which looked terrible behind my acid kiwi Specialized.
